Gloria Dufresne has practiced her art for several decades in England, Italy and throughout the United States. Her extensive travel has afforded her the opportunity to broaden the creative and interpretive scope of the artistic experience in her professional practice as an oil painter, sculptor and water-colorist.
As a painter of fine art, Gloria is adept in the portrayal of floral subjects, still life and landscapes. She finds the greatest sense of excitement and stimulation, however, in the portrayal of the human face and form. It is in her work as a portrait artist that emotion and sensitivity come into play as she endeavors to reveal the essential spirit and personality of the subject. Gloria sees a unique palette of colors giving life to every face and flower. She continues to explore new means of expression through study and experimentation while remaining true to her ultimate goal of sharing her sense of beauty with others.
Gloria’s works are located in private collections in Europe, South America and the United States. Her studio is located in Sewickley, Pennsylvania and she actively participates in collaborative efforts with other artists throughout the region.
